View Full Version : What should I get, Galaxy S3 or Note.

Can get both for £26 a month.

I love the idea of a massive screen though on the note ?

By the way I mean note 1 not 2. I've heard there's not THAT much of a difference.

Or should I wait till Jan for the deals ?

S2 over S3 ? Why's that mate. The S3 seems a beast. I'd certainly like a note 2 but im not a lover of contact and the less i pay the better. The note 2 is like 33 a month now, add insurance your looking at £40.

I'm currently on Tesco SIMonly 10 quid a month, even though they piggy back off o2 the signal seems appauling majority of the time.

My misses is on Orange and seems to have no trouble.

Yeha the s3 is a beast bit of a personal prefernce tbh, i liek the note and note two for its shape the s3 is a tad camp still a epic phone tho, would go galaxy of iphone any day

got a galaxy s2 at the min myself looking at the note 2 in future, my mates got the s3, the screen picture quality is amazing

The Note is a bit big to use as a phone..

Got an s2 also, but the s3 is a serious bit of kit, couldnt justify the extra though.

The note is far too big to be a phone, but the screens are seriously impressive!

Well, The S3 I can get for 26 pounds a month, with 300 mins, unlimited texts and 750GB tinternet. Which would be ample for me, most months.

The S3 does seem to be the all round device though, although screen size of the note or note 2 is tempting. I really dont mind big phones at all. In fact i prefer them.

At the min I've got the ARC S and whilst its a decent phone, it can become terribly slow when browsing an intensive, webpage. The single core 1.4GHZ snapdragon is OK its just seriously lacking in RAM for a decent phone. 512MB, What were Sony thinking.

Ive had an S2 now for nearly 18 months and its great! my gf has had the note 1 for about 6, its just the same only big!
its abit to big to use as a phone tbh. having used it a few times i would recommend the smaller galaxys. The S2 is so tried and tested and so fault free im not sure the minor upgrades the s3 have really justify it. It is good, but not that much better.

I know the S2 well.. Misses has one. Just wanted something future proofed a bit if im going on a 24 month. Dual core will be defunct by next year knowing these companies.

I always buy outside of a contract, it ends up cheaper in the long run.

I usually do too I've never had a contract phone before.

I'm currently sim free on 10 quid a month ( 12 month sim ).

I bought my Arc S outright. But I wouldn't mind 25 ish a month.
Its not as bad as some of these ridiculous tariffs which are like £55 + insurance. I think over 2 years thats stupid money.

Btw Carl, next year Samsung are releasing bendy phones, look pretty epic tbh and may well be worth the wait.

My contract is up August next year and I think I may have a dabble at the new Windows phones due to the fact they are looking at integrating everything (following Apple of course).

I've seen those bendy phones before. If you ask me total gimmick and I don't get it. The technology is clever but I don't see the point at all.

I think i'd love a note but i'm not sure how long before id be like " Urgh i wish i had something smaller ". Galaxy S3 I think it will be.

Note would be great untill someone says, get your phone out and take a pic" Holy be-jesus "!

The S3 is a pretty hefty sized phone as well mind, nothing in comparison to the note which is pretty much a tablet in your pocket.

exactly why I didn't bother with these types of phone, how is that supposed to fit in my pocket and not shatter if I lean against something or have to do some heavy diy stuff etc. Too big / precious for me.

Ive had an htc Desire hd for nearly 2 years (not exactly a compact phone) on a building site with constant abuse, not had a single issue with it

I sat down with my Arc S in my side pocket and it popped the LCD inside. Luckily Sony repaired it under warranty for free.

Pictures on the note are fantastic, as is the camera quality. It absolutely shits on the iP5 and iOS6.

You can also do a lot more with your pics on the Note with cutting, editing etc and instantly share on any medium you have installed, ie Whatsapp, Facebook and so on

Its one of those things mate. Id love a note at home and a S3 on the go. Haha. I cant imagine me taking a note to a nightclub in my pocket. Unless i buy a man purse / satchel lol.

I leave mine at home when I'm out, but even if I do take it, it slips into an inner pocket of a jacket and is hardly noticable. It's one of those things, they take maybe a day or 2 to get used to the size of it, but after then it's almost normal

Isn't it more likely to get damaged though due to size.

Both my brothers have the Note and S3.

I've got a measly 4S which is trounced by both.

Both are good, the Note seems to be a bit more versatile, whereas the S3 is just quick at everything it does. Both are very good tbh, hard to say which one is better.
