Galaxy tab 10.1 £238 at tesco and is on paper as powerful as an iPad.

Great bang for buck.

I'm using the original kindle fire but the Nexus 7 is great. Or if you want a 10 inch tablet, get the Nexus 10 :)

Ive just ordered a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

I was undecided between:

Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 at £179
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 at £249
Ipad Mini at £269

I searched everywhere for the iPad to be in stock but no where was an Apple direct deliver 2 weeks.

The 10.1 is just too big, but the huge bonus with this one is the price as well as HDMI adapter being available.

The 7.0 is the perfect size for me, very similar size to the iPad Mini, its £100 cheaper however it doesn't have any HDMI connectivity or adapter. I was planning on linking it to my TV but then thought I wont really do that that much anyway.

I didn't really see any advantage of the iPad mini over the 7.0, it would have meant waiting longer and spending £100 more, for something that will do the job I need just as well.

Should arrive within next week, so il post a verdict then.

Ok I've decided I do need HDMI, and also found somewhere with the iPad mini in stock. So ordered one of them now lol

ipad 4, its awesome..

+1 I tried most and didn't intend on the iPad due to cost plus I'm no apple fanboy. I preferred the iPad overall hence i got the 4th gen

I use iPad but depending on what you want it for, a cheaper alternative may be better for you.. For instance, the Kindle HD fire surprised me with what you get for the money.. I'd definitely recommend testing one.

thinkin of gettin my dad a tablet for his bday, having looked at some of the options, thinkin the ipad is really the only way to go. never been a fan of apple before but played about with some of them, and still seems as if the ipad is beyond the rest
