Looking at going skiing in March. Anyone know any decent places to get good deals. Ideally with child care as well.
I know there's a few boarders/skiers on here so let me know the best places.

Already checked Thompson/Crystal. Still expensive

Jesus it's a lot more expensive than I last went, I went to La Plagne for 7 days in 2008 with all Ski rental included, all lift passes, drove there went self catered but used the rester aunts some nights and only come to £380 per person for us.

Yes dude you can try Bulgaria for sure it will be cheaper. One of the places is called Pamporovo it's not bad. I've checked some of the prices for you and they are between 4-28 GBP. You can check the following web site (http://www.ski.bg/bgresorts_bg.php?men=6) but it's in Bulgarian or maybe type 'Pamporovo' i thi k that it's one of the best places for skiing.

I have been to La Plagne / Belle Plagne 3 years running. Quite expensive, but it's a beautiful area with awesome snow.

Bulgaria is quite a lot cheaper than parts of France or Austria, but that's partly due to the slopes and snow not being so good. I've heard stories from friends that in cheaper places, you end up hitting patches of mud, grass, etc a lot cos it doesn't get spread and bashed at night.

You get what you pay for though. £600 for a fantastic week in France :panic: :y:

because you ski all day, good places there is loads of runs. ive been 3 times, its epic i want to do it again, was supposed to be going this month but bought a car instead.

skiing is addictive, guess its the same with boarding, once you got it, there is no better feeling than flying down a mountain

I'm off on Saturday to the south east of France, doing it cheap by driving down and got a relatively cheap hotel. But watch out for the ski passes, they can be a wallet stinger!

been to borovets in bulgaria, was good, mate i went with said the runs marked as red were more like blacks

i was snowboarding its easier to go down very steep runs than shallow ones, i caught an edge going very fast down a shallow run, faceplant crushed my cigs nice and flat and took me 20 mins to recover the ability to breath.

skiers like compacted snow, boarders like powder snow research where your going, we went early in the season bad time little snow fall for boarders.

landing on hard compact snow is like landing on concrete i heard my coccyx crack landing on my arse.

borovets for night life is the same as Spanish places no one speaks english apart from the bar reps
