Brought some bulbs on ebay, came through as the wrong ones, told the seller, they have kindly agreed to just issue a refund, this is the email i got from them, seems a bit weird to me, as before i have just clicked a series of buttons or something on ebay, cancelling the item etc etc to get the refund. never had anything like this.

no dont start a dispute as they agreed to a refund. ive had that before. fill the form in and send it back with the bulbs/as a return email.

its only to cover themselves if you said that you didnt recieve the refund. sending the order cancellation part is to get them back the listing fees for the item on ebay. pretty standard.

They probably sell 1000's of things a day and to get someone to go through and find your item and email address etc would cost more than the few quid for a bulb.

You complain
They send you a standard (probably automated) response
You fill it in
They refund you.

They are not asking for bank details, just details they have already anyway. They must know products break and their profit margin is probably huge considering they are made cheaply in bulk so they just issue refunds for all complaints.

As said there returns volume is probably loads daily! This is just a way of doing it

I deal with any returns personally and I do now ask for items back as iv had in the past people trying to return me there own old broken parts passing it off as there own

But for the ones selling thousands a month it's a job in its self just dealing with returns and questions
