Hey guys, I have been on this site for a while but haven't really posted.

I am 19 and live in Thetford in Norfolk, I have had a 106 peugeot, 206 peugeot and a vauxhall corsa.

My Vauxhall Corsa recently died, it was leaking oil, timing chain needed replacing and the Idle Control Valve also needed replacing.

At the moment I am saving for a car but undecided what one to go for, I have recently been looking at VTRs and VTSs.

How much bhp is expected from the VTR mk1 and mk2 with 4-2-1 manifold, full exhaust system on etc?

How much would you guys say the rough price of a well looked after VTR and VTS is nowadays?

Between 1 to 1.5k. It's worth going to a tidy vtr over a rough S as well in my view, engine swaps are easier than chasing rust round the car

Exactly what I thought as well, I have seen a couple of VTRs around my way with about 80k miles on for about 800-1000

Hello I'm from the east also,

Keep an eye out,
I picked up a mint 106 gti for 500quid,
Also seen many a decent vts well within your budget, which I always get over a vtr.
