Hi just wonderd, will using a clay bar to remove old wax remove swirls and small scratches? And if not once using the clay bar whats the best polish for removing scratches and swirls? Would autoglym super resin polish do it?

Claying does work wonders and will help to remove any contaminants but it wont remove scratches.
How bad are they?
SRP has quite a lot of fillers and so will fill small scratches and swirls fairly well after a few coats. Obviously this doesnt last a long time and the more you wash it, the more the swirls etc become visible again. But it will look pretty good if you keep on top of it.
If you want to get rid of the swirls and small scratches completely it becomes a bit more involved im afraid.

There not bad surface scratches at all, barely visible during the day. But at night when bright lights are shone on it such as in a petrol station i notice them and it bothers me... no one else probably notices though.

I would just go over the car with some light compound mate!

Can give the car a good machine polishing using light compound with a compound and finishing pads. Using a duel action machine polisher over a rotary will be the safest bet.

dont bother with t cut, see if anyone in your area details cars, they can get rid of swirls

t-cut is crap end of too abrasive.

Use a show glaze if you dont want to use a machine polisher, i use poorboys black hole as its better suited to dark cars, mines red and it means i dont have to compound the whole car every few weeks to get rid of little scratches. If your car is white or silver or something then use the white diamond one, i highly reccomend it!

Or get it detailed but they will re appear unless you're meticulous with your washing so best off using say srp then black hole and a sealant or wax, itll last you a few weeks!
