Just wondering, can you get a decent tyre for 50? Need two front for my new car, sp just wondering what are good for that price? Possibly slightly more of i can afford.

I just had a quick look on Blackcircles.com and most good tyres for 16" are around £60-£75 delivered, not fitted. So no, I don't think you'll get a rated tyre for £50.

All the star ratings seem pretty good, how many miles would they last roughly? Obviously it is a hard guess, but I do a good 300milea a week.

To go on a 172 btw, so a performance fwd car needs good tyres obvs.. but still trying to be on a small budget. Cheers

T1Rs are an ok tyre, good in dry conditions but poor in wet. Poor on track, struggle to grip. I tried them on my track car just to see how they'd cope as they are currently my road tyres. I wouldn't use them for track

I run T1Rs on a 182, fine in the dry take it steady in the wet. By no means is it a track day tyre though. Hankook v12s are supposed to be good and reasonably priced, but you wont be getting a decent tyre for £50 a corner at 16" no way

I want just road tyres, fairly good and long useage,

It's not something I'd advise on. I've done track days for 5 years and wouldn't recommend using a low level tyre. You can often pick up part worn tyres that will benefit you a lot more than new ' budget ' tyres.
Tyres, brakes and suspension are the things I concentrate on for track.

the federal track tyres are supposed to be decent enough, and a good bit cheap than the usual £100+ of r888s and a048s

Fuck them Toyo's off, worst tyre I've ever had.
I'd go with THESE (http://www.camskill.co.uk/m62b0s344p106705/Hankook_Tyres_Car_Hankook_K110_Ventus_V12_Evo_Hank ook_K_110_-_205_45_R16_87W_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_C _NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_70dB), always hearing good things.

Ive also heard a lot of good reviews. Not too expensive but still a bit pricey, think i will stretch to that though

I wish I paid £67 per tyre!
My last pair cost me ~£300 inc. tracking.
