Car just failed its mot because of too much play in the ball joint on the tie arm. (front Nearside)

I need to get it fixed today. How easu is it to do on my driveway (i dont have access to a press etc)

I am near a euro car parts.

I assume you mean the track rod end ball joint when you say on the tie arm? in this case its a pretty simple job just unbolt the track rod end and fit a new one and count the turns when you remove the old one so you can put the new one back in a similar position but you will then need to go and get your tracking sorted.

People also call drop links tie arms or some shit like that, ive no idea why... if its one of those the hard bit is usually removing the old one...

ask them what ball joint it is

theres 3, the wishbone, the track rod end or drop link

all 3 can be fairly easily done on your driveway depending on how good you are at mechanics
