I have O/c my 2.8 rig to 3.8. It shows that in CPUz that the core speed is 3.8 Ghz but its not showing up in my 'Widows specification'. Any reason why?

P.s. It is very stable with Prime95 for a few hours.

Thanks

Surely it's just reading the per configured details loaded onto the processor and not showing a live status

This is what I'm thinking but I remember doing this a few months back and I believe it was showing 3.6 Ghz (at the time) in windows.

I wouldn't worry to much bro, Its showing up in CPU-Z as clocked it will be.

If you've used Prime aswell and its stable you should be ok. Make sure your running cool and if you notice any crazy stuff happening revert to defaults.

Try CoreTemp and see what this says.

EDIT: Just read you said Prime for a few hours ? Really you should be testing it for longer pal. Id say an over night job and into the morning after.
