i have just bought some infinity component speaker system....
taken door cards off but cant take the front speakers off...they are held in by 4 screws but they are not normal screws i.e. they have no thread at all....

I dont think they have ever had threads and are not meant to have threads....

Thanks very much for any help - rep available!

get a small drill bit and drill the centre of them, theyll come off easily and wont damage anything. then when you put new speakers in just use a new 'normal' screw

As far as im aware thats the best and easiest way of doing it. its impossible to pull out with pliers of anything like that

got them out but the wires in the car do not fit the connections on the bak of the speaker. There is 2 already in the ca but 4 connections on each speaker :s

u will have to chop off the old speacker conection bloack and get some good speaker terminal conectors and grimp them onto the old car wire. as for the best way to get the speakers out it is the easyest, but ive found that using screws to put them bk in is a good way put they tend to work themsels loose, so ive rivited mine bk in.
