Hi I'am Alex i'am 21 and have just bought a saxo VTS
i'am actually into old bmw's ive had 12 Bmw e30's, has various 325i's a 318is a 316i a 316 and a 318i. Proper Annorack Yes
Ive decided to sell my e30 and try something new. i had been looking at some VTR saxo's but decided a VTS would be where its at.
I set out looking around the internet i had a budget of £500 (not alot) and was determined to find a decent vts for that money.
I had found one at the other end of the country in white with high miles but ended up finding a better one for just under £500 after 2 days of searching high and low on the net.
Anyway i went to veiw the car and it was a hell of alot better than i thought it would be, interior very clean as was the bodywork. and most importantly its all original, and thats the way its going to stay bar prehaps an enclosed induction kit.
Its a 3 owner completely standard car in silver, has 117K on the clock and looks immaculate, its a 1998 pre facelift model which is what i wanted (not keen on the facelift ones) i know nothing about saxo's other than the boot floors rot in peugeot 106's so i assumed the same would apply, had a look under the boot floor carpet and everything looked ok. checked all the usuals and everything seemed ok.
I'am picking it up at the beginning of next week will update once i get it home
I know nothing much about saxos, once i get it home what should i be looking for? where do they rust the most? what are they like behind the bodykit ?
