Insurance Expert Needed?

Hi,

i wrote my car off the other day. Now im debating whether to claim on the insurance or not. What i need to find out is that. If i claim on the the insurance (Frizzel) and they pay out for my car. Will they then give me the money for the 10 months of insurance i havent used. OR will they let me buy a new car and carry on using the same policy.

I dont quite understand. My mum is saying she thinks if you write a car off so does the policy when your claim for the car. Therefore meaning you have to take out a new insurance policy.

not sure, but thats why id never pay my insurance off in one go, because they may keep the rest lol

but i think u can get another car (the same) and restart the policy, not sure tho

you are made to start a new policy, therefore losing any no claims with it. unless your no claims is protected.

they will pay out to the value you claimed your car was worth

thats what happened wen mum wrote dads cars off :P

bah i need a definate answer, insurance company wont tell me over the phone without giving details which i cant do atm, as my mum doesnt want me to.

They are entilted to the premium in full if you make a claim.
