Sony headunit troubles

Bought a Sony CDX-M630 headunit off ebay about a month ago and initialy the lights on the display went and now i can't even get it to turn on! All there is is the main power light at the back and thats it! The remote to type in the unlocking code doesn't seem to work (and yes I have tried changing the battery :p). Anyone else had problems like this or got any good ideas, as I got it off ebay.

Exactly what I did with my Garmin i3 and Hafrauds, first one broke out of warrenty so I brought a new one swapped the internals and took it back the same day.

Refund, job done.
