Volume levels going up and down

Hi,
I have uprated speakers all around, and a sub and amp.

For some reason the volume goes up and down a noticeable amount but the volume on the CD player stays the same e.g. CD player on 20 but the volume changes :/

Any help would be appreacited as its really annoying!

Does it do this when the car is stationary too? Or when the engine is off but the key in?

Could be to do with the head unit you have then. I think some head units have an automatic sound levelizer. They basically have a mic that pics up sound and adjusts the volume output. May be worth checking the specs of your HU to see if it has this feature.

I will check that out, might be worth saying that it was fine untill I changed my battery and lost all my settings ect :/

Could well be the ASL then, as it may have been switched off prior. Find out if your HU has it and if it does, figure out how to turn it off. :)
