Help? Temp light on

So I've drive about 10 miles and my temp light is comin on, I stop for 5 mins try again and it's coming on again??

Also I note that the heater was blowing out cold air when on hot?

Ideas please?

Check how much fluid is in your radiator 1st,then bleed the cooling system sounds like you`ve got an air lock mate.

Yeah that was my first thought too, there is plenty of fluid in the rad I'm gonns have to keep stopping every 5 mind til I get home, any quick ways to eliminate water pump ?

Not sure about the water pump,but bleed the system if you`re still getting problems then post up again mate.

start with a cold car, fluid in the radiator header tank obviously. Take the cap off and look in, rev the car and see if the level drops a little when you do so. Chances are the pump is good if its does this.
Itd have to have lost its fins to lose effeciency, as you can see here the original one in mine I changed was still fine when I took it out just a bit grubby
