I just bought a 1L its my first car and I'm wondering where do I get lowering springs for it and how easy are they to fit and is it possible to do yourself ?

Very easy, if you have no mechanical experience then possibly not, you need spring clamps & other tools. Plenty of places sell them, as your a member on here take a look in the affiliate section at the likes of KamRacing etc you will find what you want in there.

The above will be fine for your 1.1
The rear of your car is a torsion bar and needs adjusting, you dont need new parts for this. The affiliate section will also help you with this.

Click the forum tab, there are different sections, scroll down to the one titled Affitialtes. It has sub forums from companies that pay to be related with this site. MOST of them are reputable although read the threads in there sections before choosing which one you want to use. some offer discounts. your height is up to you to be honest.
