Saxo vtr phase 1, it has a mind of its own when on idle, sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's nearly cutting out and sometimes 2000rpm. When I'm driving it revs on its own sometimes, which isn't ideal in slow moving traffic. I had an engine warning light on for two days but it went off again, and I think it might have got worse since fitting a cat back, but it did it before. Also the revs sometimes stick a bit when changing gear. Any suggestions on what this is or what to do would be great :)

Cleaning the icv didn't seem to work, is there anything else I can try? Bearing in mind I'm no mechanic so it might need explaining like you would to a six year old :)
