Hi Everyone,
I failed because of power steering on my MOT as the pump was broke.
Tried the hammer trick but nothing.
Replaced power steering pump and still nothing.
Tried turning steering wheel to the sides on numerous occasions.
Any1 got any ideas on what could be the problem.
Any help appreciated
thanks

Check for a feed, if there is none fuse/relay.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as I have no clue about what fuse to change.
I know where the fuse box is but which one do I change?
Could you explain what you mean by relay as well?
Thanks

Not sure exactly where the fuse is for PAS I don't have it haha, and relay like a big fuse (the square ones) has a little coil and magnet work on electromagnetic so at a certain voltage and current clicks on.

If you can't sort it you need an auto electrician.

ah ok mate, i ask as there is a common fault with the ignition switch feed on saxos. Have you got a test light, if so check for live at the plug on the pump, if the main feed wire has a live feed then it could be another dodgey pump, if there is no feed start checking all the fuses :y:

More than likely in the engine bay, id imagine its quite a big fuse, but if you check all the fuses anyway to be certain. There is also a grey (round) relay in engine compartment to the right on the battery near the wing (as you stand infront of the car) i believe that is the pump relay... could be a faulty relay. Aslo check the pas pump conenector block for corrosion/bad connections in the pins :y:
Update..... i just looked in an old manual i have and it says fuse 2 (25amp) in the passenger under dashboard is for the Rear demister, powersteering, blower motor
