View Full Version : Sudden steering spaz

Driving on the motorway on the way to work this morning, sitting about 65mph in middle lane and the steering wheel had a 'spaz'. Went slightly left to right quite suddenly. I thought there may have been something on the road and one of my wheels had hit it, so I put it down to the that. But then 30 seconds later it did it again.

Once off the motorway I then drove for a bit with hands off the wheel to see how the steering reacted but nothing, all straight and proper.

I realised as I slowed down to some traffic lights, (hands off the wheel) the steering wheel went basically 90 degress left, but the car was quite straight still.

What would cause this? - No obvious punctures or anything.

Thanks.

Get the tracking checked. It could be tram lining from ruts caused by HGVs
