Clutch Nut

So the clutch went on my mk2 VTS few months back, since its been done, the garage i got it done in, has been just a bunch of cowboys (moved to a new area and didnt know any garages). they put a new clutch on, but it a manual adjusting clutch, problem is, they only put a nut on the adjustment part, and afer 10 days or so, i have to tighten the nut, as the pedal goes all the way down, but the car wont go into gear. when i tighten the nut, the pedal lifts and goes into gear fine and dandy

anyone know if its just a nut that goes on the adjutment rod, or is it supposed to be something else that the idiots never put on?

on mine i have two nuts one to tighten and the other is just securing it in place been like it since i brought it so thought nothing of it.

there is supposed to be two nuts on it, a 13mm and a 10mm, and they lock together to stop it undoing.
