Tbh in your situation i`d buy a written off saxo from the same year as yours. Then transfer all the bit you need over to the project mate.

in short buy an engine with a loom and unlocked ecu from a 2001 and it'll be plug and play

if not buy a single plug engine/loom/unlocked ecu as they are easier to get, then either splice your vtr chassis multi plug on to your vts loom or get the vts interior loom as well then again it will be plug and play

Ive been looking for a 2001 vts but havnt found one yet but i agree would be easier and with the one plug ecu this is the engine im looking at purchasing

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-106-gti-saxo-1-6-16v-engine-complete-/330869590113?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3A106&hash=item4d095d4861#shId

it has the 1 plug ecu what excatly would i need to the wiring loom or would it be easier buying a vts loom and ecu and just connecting it up and how do they become unlocked is that making sure u have the key with it ?
