thinking about making a boot build at the weekend, and just wondering what wood, should i use, was thiniking mdf, but thought this maybe to heavy, what have you used???

mdf is probly best comprimise for weight/strength.seems to be the most common and its easy to work with

mdf. for box for sub, 22mm thick, false floor or similar stuff, 10mm, and for replacement shelf 10-16mm

marrine ply, birch ply, both these are not cheap but are good stuff, depends on what your plans are and stuff used (ice wise), most use 3/4 mdf for box with baffle, theres also the fibre glass route
