Rear door check strap

The pin insert holding the two parts together snapped off today and its being held together by a screw at the moment just so I can get the door open and closed.
I'm assuming you cant just buy the pin so I'm going to have to change the whole check strap unit?

Any advice on whats involved in direct replacement?

can you not just use a small bolt to hold it mate. it isnt load bearing so should be fine

Got one in place for now but because of the movement of the arm it really knocks or bangs when opening and closing the door
