Right lads, did loads of research before I bought my gear and today was the first outing. Just wondering whether I did it right/what other people do.
I bought a Nilsfik C125.3 refurbed from JMS for £58(ish) delivered after seeing a link on detailing world. Came with Snowfoam lance so used that.
Used Valet Pro pH neutral foam diluted about 1-3 and nothing else.
It initially foamed really well but disappeared almost immediately, left it for 5-10 mins and rinsed. Is it normal for it to disappear so quickly?
Really chuffed with the result anyway bit thought it may either be the lance or perhaps people mix differently?
Any thoughts? Cheers!
Did it come out thick or thin and watery?
If thin then you need to adjust the amount of air that gets sucked in (if you can on your lance) to get it to be as thick as poss.
Here's what mine looks like (still a bit too thin but getting there) >>

It came out pretty thick tbf but didn't stay long enough to look like that.... I don't think I can adjust the amount of air Ill have to check. What foam have you used there?

Yeah that lance is on my radar.... Next purchase me thinks!
I was advised to get that one and am not disappointed - you need to wind the adjuster to max + to get the foam nice and thick. I put about 25% snow foam and the rest warm water - a good shake and jobs a good'un.
et voila >>>

I needed to take a mit to the wheels but didn't touch the bodywork at all and even dry it's pretty good - a polish would make it ace but too cold outside, lol

I use this lance. http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/exterior-cleaning/autobrite-direct-snow-foam-lance/autobrite-heavy-duty-foam-lance-various-connectors.html
And this foam. http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/exterior-cleaning/prewash-dirt-bug-removers/magifoam.html
The snow lances are much better than what you get with machines. Use about 1" of foam and fill the bottle with warm water.
The AD lance is the same as the one I listed just with a different bottle and increased price ;)

Result - if you turn the valve right round to closed/open on the +ve side it comes out like cream from an aerosol spray can :)

Looking good mate! Makes me want to go out and wash our cars but it's been raining much of the day today and apparently the weather isn't going to be any better tomorrow :(
