the best 195/45-15 road tyre you can use is the Michelin Pilot Exalto 2.
S.drive are not bad, in my opinion better than proxies, but not at the PE2 level

The Syron Race 1 is an awesome tyre. And very quiet. :)

I've got those, but never been on a track with them. Good traction and not noisy, but not had any of the other tyres, mentioned on this thread!

if u want a very good tyre for british roads try the Rainsport 2's.... they last for ages plus are immense at dealing with potholes and standing water :) plus they're cheap - got a set of 4 fitted and balanced in stafford for 230 quid which aint bad

I've had S'Drives on a vts for about a year and paid about £50 each from Demon Tweeks. Only chose them because they were on back of a magazine. I think I may buy them again, quite cheap tyres I suppose.

I really like the Yokohama AD08's, would have to be 195/50/15's though, great on track and fine on the road aslong as your not stupid when it's really really wet.
