Seized coilovers

Is it ok to use heat on seized coilovers? Thinking it might be a bad idea incase it damages internal components

what coilovers, some you can remove the damper insert. If you cant then I would try every other option before heat, you will almost certainly damage or thermally distort the internals.

you mean the damper rod is seized or the adjusting rings?
if its the rings soak in penetrating oil for a day or two and wire brush the threads on the casings
heat is definately a no go if damper rods are seized
heat rings to about 130c --no more and cool strut casing with ice --that should work
