I know lol
Might have been nice 10 years ago :s
Looks like it's about to take off with that spoiler

Its not to my taste, but like 10 years ago that was all the rage lol!
It looks like its been done to a decent standard too.
Looks horrible

What's wrong with it?
It was probably built 10 years ago when it'd have been a show winner...

People will be saying the same thing about the "trendy" mods that people do to their cars now in 10 years time.
Trends change, a decade ago that would have been the dogs bollocks and everyone would be jizzing in their knickers over it.

That would have prob been in a mag 10 years back, one identical like that still going round near me

That WAS built 10 years ago. I remember it from shows back then.
Fashions change. Can't wait for the fad of having camber that makes your car look broken whilst sitting on stupidly small wheels is over tbh.

I remember seeing that at a show quite a few years ago - had some fitties in it if i remember right!

As said above, back in the late 90's people would literally be jizzing over this
I'd like too see cars like this come back in to fashion sometime in the future, would be nice to see cars like this being appreciated for the work rather than hear mongs give retarded slates about them

Agreed the modding scene is extremely boring nowadays with the "Smoked headlight/smoked rear lights/VTS wheels" Saxos going round. People need to be more original nowadays.

To be fair the asking price isn't unrealistic as i was expecting.
When i see a car like this from this scene theres usually a whole shopping list of parts, labour and general expenditure on the advertisement which is foolishly incorporated into the asking price.
Some 17 year old may buy it and fall in love with it - and if it puts a smile on their face and makes them happy then we shouldn't slate. As with anything in life.

Love the colour!

Thats an old car, know the plate.
Its a shame people in the scene now dont do anything original. Im not really into the huge kits but it beats seeing a load of shitheaps with stickerbombing or other mods that cost 50P...

Wassy is still producing amazing work tbh.

The days when the big kits and lairy paint jobs etc was so much more interesting. Sure there was some dog awful ones that were done badly but there were alot that had a fortune thrown at them and were done very well.
Agree with the above from AndyK, would love to see the individuality return, 'Euro' wouldn't be missed in my eyes

Euro I don't mind. A properly done 'euro' style car can take as much work and time as anything else. But sticking a set of mini lights on a vtr and lowering it 60mm and slapping a few stickers around is not euro. It's just the in thing at the minute and soon everyone will realise it looks shit.

The worst scene for me is Ratting or whatever they're calling it nowadays. Make your car look like a bag of shit seems to be the "in" thing

Just go into the 'progress report section' and click the new thread tab at the top. Then name it what you like and fill it with pics and info

When I started driving that was where the modified scene was.
Much prefer that to all this wonky wheel crap there is now.

It does look good on a few cars, not extreme camber though, thats just silly.

so what happens when the whole "small" modding thing is over. what next? back to shitty bodykits like the op?

Undoubtedly looks absolutely shocking but at least it's been done properly with (what appears) no rattle cans and trip through the local Halfords bargain bin.
If I felt brave I'd try and get a bit off the asking price (say £900) and break it for parts - that plate has got to be worth a couple of hundred quid alone. Could make a bit tbh...

Everyone has their own tastes and if its done properly and time, money and thought has gone into planning a project it looks good. It's when people do things half arsed and don't put the effort in. No matter what scene it is, if the effort has been put in a true car enthusiast can appreciate it. Be it euro, lairy body kits like the op or even things like sleepers. If its done properly kudos to the owner.
Just putting my two pence in, some people will disagree but others might agree with me. If your gonna do something, do it because you want to and put the effort in and make it the best it can be. At the end of the day it's your car and some people will like what you have done and ofc there are gonna be haters.
