Good afternoon everyone. A friend of mine bought a Saxo VTS 98' model and has braking issues. For starters, i changed the front and rear discs, and the brake pads. I used EBC green stuff and EBC grooved discs in front, done a bleeding just to be sure. After a few miles, when he presses the pedal, it goes back and forth just like an ABS but it doesn't have any. I changed the brake pump, done some bleeding again. Again the same thing :wall:. The servo is fine. The only thing it is left for me to check is the brake distributor at the rear. Does anyone have any idea what the case might be??? Thanks for your time people...

Does he get vibrations at speed??

If so id check the hub bearings are pressed in straight at the front
Seen some monkey mess that up before giving this issue

Sounds like warped disks in my opinion. Allright when cold , vibrating when hot?

Changed discs same problem would suggest its not to me

The only thing i can think if he has is hubs
Had that problem on an old rallye we built

Thing was it took ages to diagnose and it ruined the discs wed fitted thinking it was warped discs

New hubs hub bearings and discs was what it took to solve it in the end

I thought he ment the problem started after fitting the new brakes,
Would have been better if he just wrote it in greek seeing he is from down here!!! Haha

Back on subject,
Could also be the bushes on the wishbone have gone
We had an X5 with this problem but that vibrated the steering wheel as-well as the brake pedal :geek:

And the winner for the vibrations are......: the bushes. Actually, the bushes under pedals. Front ones are fine... Rear ones are off the scale, too crumpy. He also wanted a new brake pump... Thanks guys for your time. :afro:
