Scammed - Help

Not sure what to do here really as its never happened before...

Bought some MS points from the website Instagamepoints.com Which i have now found out seems to be a scam site. Read reviews on the site itself, and seemed to be a fair bit of decent feed back, about point codes been received in minutes..

Had a quick look online, and there was some good reviews... Now it has been 4 days since i paid, and now there are reviews popping up all over the place, saying they are scammers and no one is receiving points! Now the website is going up and down every 5 minutes...

I even rang the phone number before buying points, and it went to an answer machine saying no one was available, but it was 2AM, so understandable.. But the fact it had a whole ticket system, and a phone number which actually answered under the name of the site, led me to believe it was legit..

It was a DD out of my bank account for the payment, with my Debit card.. How do i go about getting my money back, if i can? Will Halifax pay me back as it was Online fraud, or what?

Any light shed on this will help.

Then massacre their family while they watch, and make them eat the raw corpses, while i piss on them, that make them swallow metal balls with wire attached, and wire them up to the mains.

If it has only been 4 days since you paid by direct debit, you should go straight to Halifax and request a Direct Debit Indeminity claim on the basis that it was a scam site. The bank should then repay the money back your account within a week.

Edit: just seen this is for a PayPal payment through visa, but hopefully should still work with a straight card payment

This is what i would do. I had to do this before when i paid for something online which turned out to be not what it was and couldn't get hold of anyone on their numbers, constantly went to answer machine.
Went to the bank, told them what had happened and they refunded the money into my account within 2 hours.

Usually can't go wrong getting that sort of shit on ebay at fair prices.
