fit a nut onto the bolt and you've fixed it.

A new pin won't fit as the hole will have ovalled - which is why the pin fell out in the first place ;)

They're about 50p

33p i payed
But a split pin kit can be had for a few quid and means you can drill it a little bigger and fix it properly

A bolt might give you a crappy feel to the stick mind you but atleast it'll be driveable
Got a spare arm here if you need it too, not ovalled either

a bolt makes the gear stick feel really really loose

cant you just hammer in a new roll pin further? as they start thin and get thicker.

i bought a couple from citroen, 32p each

cant if its too ovalised but then it'll have to be pretty shagged to be that bad, but then it did fall out

Fit a bigger roll pin. Or recently i have started drilling them out and using a m8 tap to make a thread all the way through then a bolt with locktite and a nyloc nut on the end.

Fully solid.

Also there is no stopping you grinding the top clean and running a few spot welds on the top.

Able to do this while gearbox is on the car?

Mine fell out a month or so ago and lucky i had a spare gearbox i knocked the pin out for mine, cleaned it up and put a bit of aradite on it and 2 big cable ties across the arm where the pin goes through aradited them to lol. Been fine but got quite a bit of side to side movement still got kamracing linkages and baker quickshift helped a bit.

JUST HIT THE END OF THE SHAFT +ARM WITH A MIG WELDER --10MINS nd job is done
you never had to remove that shaft even when doing a g/box rebuild

Fixed for the moment, got a roll pin and attacked it with a flathead and a hammer.

temporary fix, I will be getting a new arm and roll pin along with doing gandi's mod using a mk1 driveshaft nut.

:)
