So basically i was looking at getting footwell neons for the saxo, even after looking at guides i still wouldnt want to touch it myself..
since ive dewipered the car i was wondering if they could be hooked up top the rear wiper switch and come on when that would of?
is there anyone on here close to coventry that could help me? of course i will pay for your time and supply everything needed to do it..
if anyone wants to help or knows anyone that can help relatively cheap then that would be much appreciated, cheers :)

Should be pretty simple to do. Just gotta find the wire running to the rear and splice into it. I'm sure someone else will be a long with more info :)

Yeah
Use the wires from rear wiper motor and lead them to the footwell
I personally use a switch on dash and power from cig lighter

If you use the rear wiper wiring when you turn them on they will not stay on. Will go on and off like the rear wiper does/did as it is not a constant feed.
Personally why would you want them?.... But as some advice take a permanent live feed from fag lighter and put a switch in on the dash somewhere

christ people dont know electronic's on here do they.
if you find out what wire's you need from the switch (i've never checked to see which wires they are) then yes you can use those wires to work the neons, depending on wattage you may want to use a relay.
and no they wouldn't switch on and off like the rear wiper does, that is controlled via a relay, which is wired after the switch

Would be very convenient to run from cig lighter but it looks really messy. Any more ideas? Could I wire it up to the font fog switch?
Just trying to use switches already in the car to avoid it looking messy. Unless anyone can do a good job for me haha

Tuck wires under carpet or behind centre console

Has anyone wired neons to their wiper motor before or know of a guide?

Your best move it to wire them light on the roof lining, then when the doors open the neons in footwell come on.
There are loads of how to guides on here, i'm one of the worst people with wires but even i could do it, even a bit of electric tape will do the job (crimping would be better)

Wiring your neons to your wiper motor is far more aggro that just connecting 2 wires to the interior light mate.
Check out my how to guide, its a piece of piss, you are literaly connecting 2 wires at the roof light and running them down to the kickwell.

people dont mean plug them in to your fag lighter if thats what your thinking?
they mean splicing in to the wiring behind the dash

He does'nt!
And im sure its quicker to run from the light down the A pillar than removing all the cowling to get to the switch.
