recentely ive done my head gasket, but since then on idle its sounding very rough,sounds like its been cammed i like the sound but knowing it shouldnt sound like it and it does is worrying me , once i rev it it will run sweet no problems at all, but no matter if the engine is hot or cold, it will still sound rough and sometimes just run of 3 cylinders or what sounds like it but the revs are staying the same just drop about 100. was supposed to be going to the fast show today but im not risking it on such a long drive so ill stay at home. any one help?

you set everything back, timing etc, you made no changes too it? if its running on three youll know about it. it will make an almost crunching noise. you serviced it recently?

yeah the timings done its impossible to get it any better than it is, fresh oil filter the lot all i have to do is put the new sparks in it but im just curious why on idle its running like a bad of rubbish. gave the icv a clean fresh inlet manifold gasket the lot.
