I've seen a phew installs with the rca leads the correct size, ie like linking 2 amps theres only a foot of rca lead and the rest of the leads, are all nice and neat
Q1 are these easy to make
Q2 would I be better of buying them, would I get them from a good ice dealer, or from an audio shop

I made all my own RCAs for my old install as I needed that many of them and all custom lengths. There very easy to make as long as you can solder. I used VanDamm Microphone cable and Maplins own RCA plugs.

I just got mine from Maplin mate. Is still listed on there site but some colours are discontinued. Check what your local store have in.

been and had a look same as what dave says use maplins, but they reckon on useing guiter cabling

you can get the idea from these pics, what I'm after is rca leads that are the correct lenght, so that I don't have loads of spare cable lying about

sorry I should of posted thats not mine:sad: I pinched pics from talkaudio just as to show what I'm kind of on about, my system is nothing compared to that, jl1000/1 12w7, then front end to sort out

higher end amps have input and output so it saves you running lots of rca's from front of car

don't know why as they are still hosted, I've went for the descreat look amps under false floor and sub in sealed box, not finnished yet so no pics

Should be cool when its done mate. Sorting wots doing in mine 2moz. Might be looking at the MTX 4500 twins with the mega amp to run it. Then MTX comps up front with ther own MTX amp. Having it all sound proofed aswell.

Will try mate. Thinking off paying them to fit it for me. Doing the false floor myself on sat so that should be fun.

not that hard doing the false floor like, I used the boot mat to get the first template, then for the second peice cut to the width of the boot, then get some one to hold the wood on slam pannel, as you get your arm under to trace the lines of the upper part of salm pannel, as the shape changes slightly from the bottom
