Review anyone?
We are going next Saturday, staying at the hatters hostel. Probably shit but it's only a pit for one night!
So who's been out in Birmingham? Any good and where's best to go?

Depends on the line ups but when a decent line up is on it beats the crap out of all the pikey infested shitholes.

The birmingham one is the flagship one. But again depends on the line up as to the crowds you get.

I is from da endz, so i can relate to dis enit.
No, Ryan is right. If you want a proper decent, lasers, smoke, big crowd, choice of music, Go there. I was there when Avici - Levels first came out and it was dropped, green lasers, smoke, people were going mad.
Trouble is, you'll either love it, or hate it.
I've had one of the best nights ever in there making friends with some random Australian dude, I've also had one of the worst.
It can be claustrophobic, the toilets are a mission away and there's not a window in sight. However, if the aircon is on properly you'll be ok.
Don't expect drinks to be cheap either.
There are other places that look good on the outside but dont let them fool you.
Bliss has an outdoor Dj / dance floor and smoking area, but the people that go there are the ones you see at the job centre.
Also the DJ plays the same music. I mean, literally. I've been there twice for one reason or another and I heard the exact same mashup mix-track. It wasn't bad, but i definitely notice things like that.

Just come down the road to Stourbridge, it's pretty much Ibiza but in the Midlands.
Complete with stabbings, gutters overflowing with WKD vomit, slags with accents and a Lloyds bar!

Standard club attitude.
Was awesome when I was in Berlin recently. You were only allowed in wearing jeans/t shirt and trainers.
Kept all the bellends at bay..
Sorry you cannot enter in your finest ben sherman you cunt :D

In Gatecrasher, I was stood in the queue behind a bloke who was told ( at the door ), " This is a Nightclub, you could have made an effort ". By some proper bitchy promoter / doorwoman.
I walked in directly behind him and she smile and never said nothing to me, which was weird, given the fact, he had jeans, a shirt and shoes on, as did I.
Haha.
Felt sorry for him he looked well pissed off. She just slagged off his best outfit.

Walkabout is alright actually. But I once saw a guy slapping his misses up and grabbing her hair, I was very close to getting involved.

Yeah she was hitting back, I couldn't believe it. I was gonna say, " mate, your standing for a lot there ".
In all seriousness, it really pissed me off, he was proper smacking her up and her head up the wall. I thought fucking little faggot, pick on a bloke u cunt. My mates were like just leave it, fuck all to do with us.

DJ'd there a few times. Mainly for the Bassline Heaven events. Generated a moody crowd though after a bit.
I was playing there in 2010 IIRC when it was a fancy dress at Xmas. Fuckin smashed it - UK Garage :D

Played at Q club too. Still there mate. Bass from the Dnb nights in there used to have the floor moving.... i mean literally.
Best night i had in Custard Factory was Valve sounds, Drum n Bass night. I think it was Random Concept, or Hospital Records.
But it was fuckin baaaaaaaad. The sound OMG.
My pal who never went that night said he could hear the bass from his doorstep. ( He used to sit outside smoking a J ) and his road was dead silent at night.
My mate went to a Bassline Vs DNB night there called " Urban Gathering " and some one started shooting a gun LOL. He said it was like a stampede and proper fuckin scary.
Before he went I told him it will kick off lol.
The bouncers make me laugh. Pat you down, check you over......Yet someone manages to get in with a gun. They should be arrested along with the cunts who shoot guns.

Probably not as good now as it was when you enjoyed it man. Birmingham in general is saturated with coke heads who cant handle themselves when they go out.
