Put a new ECU in, car starts fine, Saxo 1.1, ECU is unlocked.

Radio works, all lights, engine is fine, revs fine. starts fine.

i think the warning light is the immobiliser. it keeps flashing, left the car on for a few minutes, light still flashes.

i read someone fixed it by replacing the coolant temp sensor? I have recently replaced it so it can't be that.

my car has no immobiliser.

what will this do? surely I shouldn't leave it flashing? I don't want the engine to cut out and go into ''limp mode''.

I don't know a lot about cars but a flashing warning light isn't good by anyone's standards. the symbol is orange or yellow, it has a picture of a key inside a square.

what should I do?

second question, replaced lambda, new cat, new coolant temp sensor, new ECU, air filter isn't dirty, will my car FINALLY pass the emissions test now?

OK I have an idea now, the car must have had an immobiliser and the people we bought it from took it out otherwise surely the light would not be flashing?
