View Full Version : recommend a good engine cleaner/degreaser

im cleaning my engine up on a stand, the blocked cleaned up but the stuff i have doesnt seem to be touching the head, anyone recommend a good degreaser or cleaner, thanks

diesel then jet wash works a treat

Gunk does the job, with a few small brushes.
I use that and then Meguires to spruce it up a bit.

tom, my dining room might get bit wet if i jet washed it lol, it was a nightmare getting it there so dont really want take it back outside, thanks tho might brush bit diesel on :)

jason, thanks mate ill pick some gunk up, just heard from friend its good, ill leave the meguires as im painting the head :), cheers fellas.

sorr ymate ddnt relise it was inside haha and i wouldnt do it either it will stink the house out :)

I would not use diesal indoors that will stink and give you a headache.

any old degreaser and wire wool on the head works for me if its not too bad, wouldnt use anything too rough though

Soda blast it, you won't regret it.

Plus it leaves no left over so is perfectly safe

i got some gunk on way home from work so ill try that, yeah jamie going to use wire wool thanks.
