Hi all, been on here a while but never started a blog, iv had the car for almost 2 years now.

Started off like this when i had it..

Someone clipped my car while stationary meaning i had to have a new wing etc, so i smoothed and painted the bumper, bonnet had loads of dents so made a bonnet bra for shits and giggles..

Smoothed out the holes for base spec sidestrips and fitted gti ones..
Beam went same time so refurbed one and fitted that..

Had it out for 3 hours before something in the gearbox went after buying a *mint* one from someone in wales, pissed was the not the word!!

So went back in to refit my vtr one.

Ran it stripped with buckets for a while before deciding i wanted a respray so prepped everything..

Took all the interior and hydros off the saxo. Mocked them up at home, before proceeding to fit them neater than before..

That brings me to now, im slowly modding the chassis so that i can lay my arch on the floor anyone with dro's/air will know that there is a lot in the way of this, wishbone supports, steering racks and all sorts! Car currently has the front end off with another fresh 8v ready to go in as the 16v is going in my rallye and the 8v is getting turboed in my car.

Bumper, bonnet and both front wings are off for paint as is rear bumper, should be out early april :fcuk:

Just the way some of its put together mate, bodywork is very well done but who put it together is not the best. Looks great when it installed just Ye..

Done a fair bit too this, just awaiting my engine now.

Smoothed and painted bay done really, needs a couple of imperfections sorting then ill give it another coat.

Got all the suspension refitted after cleaning and servicing it all, ground back all the underarches and protected them, then cut out the inner arches to get some more lows, trimmed my wishbone and wishbone mount. tidied up my notchs and refitted. Now i can run it flush with 15's.

Tried my new wheels on sort of.
Not much room for more lows :(

Ye i did chap, about a day probably once you've sourced each wire as i had never done it before. With everything out of the car it doesnt take long though!

no? It's the angle of the picture! Come see it in person and you'll see. None of the kit is fitted hence why its so far from the car. Kinda hard to take a pic and hold the kit together/on :L

I now see why you couldn't run them lines, seriously low haha.

How do you go about fitting the. Fuse box into the dash ? Do you have to cut all the. Wires and lengthen them or seperate them from the loom in the wing and just pull them back through ?

Interiors all back in bar the centre console now, speakers and tweeters are wired in to run active instead of passive now, just gotta finish saving for my processor.

Started my bootbuild, secured down my false floor just need to build a front for it now.

Well the car isn't a gti, its an xs which is an 8v to start with so iv swapped back. I liked the 16v but the premium for it on my insurance and the cost of a cambelt kit pushed me back to 8v as it saves me so much ££. And what he said below ;)

Sold the coilies, its on hydraulics now :)

You would be surprised! It was turbo'ed 8v or throttle bodied 16v, i got done for my car being too loud and the insurance was cheap ish on the 8v so it was a no brainer :)

So this was meant to of been on the road yesterday but due to someone sending me a loom instead of an ecu im held back. I've painted my whole front end and even though the paint i ordered was the same colour from the same supplier its atleast a shade different?!

Cheers man, not happy with a few bits, i was bored and drew a couple of thigns then went all out haha. ITs so difficult to do some of the bits mind! Gonna rub some of it off and do some different things when i have time, i want some characters in there and things!

It took shit loads of marking, cutting more marking more cutting, some bending and machining to get it to sit like this!

So after a slight mishap its all back together again! Drove it for 3 weeks and been off the road for one i think! Godo job i have a daily :(

while it was apart i decided to gain some more lows, made room for 30mm more which is too much without an engine raise but gives me enough drop on 14's 15's and 16's. I need to do another chassis notch before i can go lower but ill get round to it early next year when the engine is out again!

Been out and about enjoying it more than anything and buying little bits like new bulbs for inside, wind deflectors that didnt fit haha and sorting out the interior, wasssssssssy ;) haha

How did you personally rate the plastidip?

I saw someone that did his car matt white and was happy with it 6months down the line, just unsure on it's durability over a long period of time.

Don't like massive lows myself but yours looks right even though it's very very decked.

i rate it highly to be honest! Its very durable even after being scuffed or chipped! Washes well but doesnt like any of the wax or sealants i have here which is slightly disappointing but otherwise its top draw!

Bay just needs the engine taking out now, final rubdown and a little smoothing around the strut tops and it can go into paint, been playing with the colour of the slam panel too.

Removed all my hydros out the boot and started on a new install today, new false floor in and painted, now to decide where everything is going to be mounted and crack on with it.

Its also back in with black bolts everywhere and fresh brakelines throughout, wire tucked way more than before and just waiting on new fuel hoses :)

The car is also in primer and the door shuts, boot shuts and inside of door and boot are in colour..

So do I haha! Depends how much patience you have tbf! Just have to think everything through and it's easiest if you unwrap all the loom as you'll find a lot of the wires don't need extending :£

So you may guess that I have painted it purple, just needs flatting and polishing and it's done, I'm now running a pedal box and a full wire tuck. Have bodies sat in my garage and boot build is nearing completion, just gotta couple of loose ends to tie up like the manifold sitting a little low as seen in the last two pictures!
