my fuel gauge is playing up and is really pissing me off :wall: sometimes it takes ages to actually move, and when it gets to the reserve block its empty.

temp gauge moves when it wants to, only a couple of times have i noticed its come to the half way mark, otherwise its a quarter up or at rock bottom :wall:

1.1 models don't have temperature guages.

Someone has fitted those clocks, likely you have a wiring fault? especially if 2 guages are on the blink :)

Oh, lol I stand corrected then :p

I guess your fuel guage isn't at the top.

you got fuel on the right and temp on the left? :)

I still think it's a common fault you've got there. Would be odd for both guages to fail at the same time.

I can only suggest you check the resistance on your sender. unplug the sender and probe it. 70 ohms is getting on for a full tank and 500 ohms is almost empty.

As for the temp guage, not sure on the resistances of the sensor in the bay but iirc it's NTC type. resistance should change smoothly.

If they're fine, then the problem is definitely at the guages. the contacts aren't the best. might be worth removing the connectors and making sure things are clean in there.

yeah the fuel is on the right, water temp on the left :) i'll check the connectors first, then check the sender and sensor, thanks for the input!
