I moved to London just under two years ago, sold my car when I left and am aware that ill lose my no claims if I don't carry on driving from now. If I become a named driver, I know I can't gain a no claims bonus but would it like keep my no claims bonus on 'retention'??
Probably a stupid question but need an answer please

Fairly certain most companies require you to use your NCB within 2 years or its gone, irrespective of whether you are a named driver on another policy etc. You have to use it, i.e be the policyholer.

On our scheme, we can use NCB up to 3 years after expiry :)
(You can't use NCB as a named driver so you need to insure a car in your own name within this period).
