Decided to get a sunstrip, but just wondered about my rear view mirror... Do I have to cut round the strip or stick onto the strip? There's a nice 106 outside my work atm with one, and I can't see what she's done with hers! Anyone know anything about this please?

yeah as the others said they go on the outside, when i first put one on one of my motors i thought they would go on the inside but they go on the outside, i thought that it wouldnt last on the outside as the weather and the wipers runnign over it but it was fine and had it on there for over a year b4 i sold the car

mine dont go on the outside, they only end up blowing away. when i got my tints done the guy used the tint film and just took off my rear view mirror then put it back on again

the end up blowing away , u sure you put it on right. There definatley meant to go on the front , never seen a decent one on the inside of the window

all sunstrips go on the outside!! make sure the window is cleaned properly,it blew away coz it was window tint which means he had soapy water on it which probably wasnt even dry and the first gust of wind just fling it of the screen! ur supposed to use soapy water fit it,take the bubbles out and hair dry it so it shrinks and sticks to the screen, and then drive off!!!

ive had 3 or 4 stuck on the outside really well and they all blew away. my inside strip is minted. plus the police dont favour outside sunstrips that much as they completely block out your vision whereas because mine is tint film it filters the uv rays and light but i can still see.
apparently the sunstip cant go below 4 inches below where the top of your wiper is when the wiper is pointing upwards when they are on

if yours looks good on the inside fair play, you cant have been fitting them correctly on the outside though as i have never had a problem with them (im sure most people on here are the same), the will fail the mot if the wipers go over it unless you find a garage that will turn a blind eye to it.

they shouldnt blow away if they are put on properly and they cetainly go on the outside

I think he's trying to say that it doesn't stick to the tint and if he was to put it on the front the maybe the tint will comes off with it?

I wish people would stop using rep to get answers out of people.
