I saw something in the Daily Mail this morning that [for a change] I actually slightly agree with! i believe the headline was something like "he's a product of welfare society."

he's lived his whole life on benefits, will live the next 15 years paid for, and come out and live the rest of his years on benefits.

I'm not saying everyone on benefits is a terrible person, but it's a shame that people like that are allowed to spend their whole life without contributing, and openly declaring their ability to do nothing and get everything.

The dad has to serve a minimum of 17 years I think, with the other 2 having to serve a minimum of 8 and a half

But in cases like this, what's the point of letting him live... It may sound harsh but people like this offer no contribution to society and never will, killing 6 children is just the icing on the cake as to why he should be shot

In this case I don't think he should have the right to live, but in general criminals being punished for any crime have too many rights...

That's the worst possible way to look at it! These kids were stupidly unfortunate to have been born into this merry go round life that was simply a cash cow for 3 scummy twats to enjoy a life of sex and free benefits etc.

Professional Hang man is still alive in Leeds IIRC from when it use to be legal. I'm sure he would be happy to dispatch them.

I'll tell you then. The comments that you posted (as well as the ones that you deleted) are exactly the type of reaction that the Daily Mail are looking to provoke.

The welfare state is far from perfect and no one will deny that it is frequently abused by individuals and families. However, these are the minority when compared to the vast number of people who actually use state support as intended. So by running such a sensational headline, the Mail are using an unprecedented and atypical case to tar and attack the majority. They are using the death of these children to add moral weight to their political agenda, which is a crusade against the welfare state.

The headline is complete and utter bollocks. Had he popped off his wife and pocketed the life assurance payout, would that make him the product of insurance? What about the guy who killed his parents a while ago because he wanted the inheritance? Is he the product of having rich parents? Like Mick Philpott’s case, these two examples are the perverse consequences of a given situation and are in no way representative.

Let’s be clear, Mick Philpott is the product of nothing but himself. He is a misogynistic, dysfunctional, control freak and a killer who happens to be claiming benefits. He has a history of violence against women and as others have said, we can only hope that he ends up with a cell-mate that goes by the name ‘Mr Big’ or ‘Bubba’.

I had in my street one of those benefits families who would do sweet fuck except for party day and night. 2 single mums with each their own line of mini-mes, including a 12 year old kid having a fag in front of the house while waiting for his taxi to turn up and drop him to school every morning. Proper Jabba the Hut potato couch types.

None of the other kids went to school, they had all their food delivered by sainsburies and takeaway delivered almost every single evening. Last but not least they faked some and obtained a disability car. The shit hit the fan when they didn't pay the tax on it despite police sticker warnings on the drivers window. They were investigated, lost the car, lost the house and were removed. It was a collective sigh of relief for everyone else who lived right next, as they were apparently "very noisy and rude".

So it happens but around here, scroungers don't last long. I have a mate's neighbour who claimed a heart condition pension with all the trimmings. He then got pictured labouring his back garden, now currently repaying it all.

The problem does exist, but it's nothing close to what happened here and the daily fail blowing it out of proportion like they always done.

If they feel like being on a self righteous mission, I'd suggest them to have a look at the pothole problem, or the VAT on petrol tax problem. That would be a lot more beneficial for us all, rather than all pointing the finger at one dysfunctional couple of morons.
