I have never known a weight to be as stubborn as baby weight is!:wall:
I had my baby 10 months ago via c-section and since then ive been struggling to get the pounds to shift, i suppose i was sort of naive to think I was going to bounce back pretty quickly after id given birth but i was pretty tubby when i got pregnant so i suppose the excess weight didn't help my chances much!
Day to day i do a lot of cleaning and im on my feet pretty much all day, I have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to our bedroom (mine and partners). I have such a hideous overhang at the moment and i want to get back to my pre pregnancy size 10/12 but i think im hoping for too much!
Food wise i consume anywhere from 400 to 1,000 calories a day..I can eat like a pig one day but hardly touch my food the next and im still fat!!:n:
Any ideas, tips etc..Would be great!:y:

I lost my baby weight doing a workout called insanity then started weight lifting and eating pretty damn clean and ende up under my pre preg weight and lost a stone in 6 months :) Even managed to get abs and I had horrendous stretch marks after bubs, it's such a simple workout to follow while baby sleeps in the day, perfect time span while they nap :p and has pretty quick results :)
Food wise, if you workout how many calories you should be eating (several ways of doing this but there's a few bmr calculators that can give you an idea online) and then track your food with an app like myfitnesspal, I found it was a good way to get started as it makes you more conscious about what you eat rather than eating for the sake of it :)

Thanks Nicole! :)
Sounds very interesting, i might look that up and hopefully get the ball rolling!. As for stretch marks i know what you mean, i have really hideous ones on my thighs, sides and part of my belly, hopefully the weight loss will encourage them to go a bit lighter as at the moment their still really red and angry looking :\

Out of interest, how long have you been eating between 400-1000 calories?
If you are eating that much of a deficit you would be losing weight, your body can seriously slow down the metabolism and as a result energy used for day to day activities will be significantly reduced to compensate. But serious that much of a deficit you would notice change over a period of a time.
You really need to focus on losing fat, structure a diet and exercise more. I live on my own so do all my own laundry, ironing, etc. and I would not include this as a form of exercise personally as it doesn't get my heart rate going at all.
Increase your cardio, preferably in a morning before breakfast if you want to focus on fat loss which you do.
The insanity programme is also something I would suggest as you can do it from home as it's an instructional dvd so you just need to follow the instructions and put yourself through it. As said above it would suit your lifestyle and you could do it whilst your child takes a nap.
Personally if I want to cut bodyfat I take 20% off of my maintenance so for instance if your calorie requirements are 2000 cals then consume as close to 1600 cals as you can....
My metabolism isn't ruined after my cut and i lose bodyfat at a steady rate but don't bounce back... I have done fad diets before lost the weight and then ended back where i started months down the line...
Knowing about nutrition is definately important, meet your protein and fat requirements in your diet then fill the rest of your calories with carbs.
Eating high carb snacks with very little protein source etc. is not ideal, however I may be generalising here but I imagine that is one of the problems for ease and speed...
It is very important to do it progressively with your diet, make it more of a lifestyle change. Starving yourself or following fad diets is not maintainable and all you will ever do is live your life on the back foot. Reach your goal, come off your diet and then bounce back.

Could also look into basic carb cycling, 3 days low carbs 1 day high, used this over 2 week periods before to get body fat % down.
Also try supplementation,
Good advice from mate, he definitely does his stuff. Helped me massively with my oh cycle

I've been eating that amount of calories for months! Which probably will explain why nothing's happening to my waist line, my appetites screwed since having my baby!
But thanks everyone for the tips :) ill be doing more research into the insanity exercise regime! I look forward to getting some awesome results and fitting back in to those skinny jeans in no time! :)

Don't get ahead of yourself. Depending on your goals, current statistics, training regime, diet and genetics results take months, years. Not weeks like most people hope then give up when they don't look like a fitness model after a couple months of training.
Just remember slow progress is progress and consistency is the best drug available.

Just throw in some exercise pal. I lost 3.5 stone just through diet and some exercise. I wasnt too fat but everything starts coming back to shape and im stronger and feel better than ever. Just do some jogging ' Sit Up's ' Push up's to tone yourself as the weights shifting. Nothing to strenuous as you will tire out quickly and chances are give up.
Never starve yourself though as i never did and any energy deficit the body gets = Fat loss
400 - 1000 calories is actually on the low end. If you done say 1200 calories and done some exercise then you would have more energy but still in a calorie deficit. Your body is clever and can store excess fat as it believes its being starved
Best of luck. You can do it. Believe ;)
