Not really sure how these sites work, but surely the more users you have the more space you need and more it costs etc... So how about, you delete the people who have never posted or logged on within say 6 months or something? It could save time and money etc in the long run?

This site is much more than a forum.....people may only come on to view other sections.

David you suggestion whore!
It doesent use that much memory all it is, is a line of data in the database not a lot at all. And as Adam said they may use it for the guides not the forum..
But i agree, people who have not logged in, in the last 3 months or so could be deleted!

Yeah, but do you have to be registered to see the rest of the site?

Sure theres quite alot of people that perhaps get the site recommended to them by friends, people theyre buying a car from etc and who have joined and kept it on their favourites list for future reference. Those who dont join for everyday chat could log in now and then for ideas for their cars, or simply have the knowledge of the sites existence if every they encounter any problems with their cars or as an advertisement when they want to sell it.
Hard to judge really.
