I've got a massive problem,besides owning a saxo haha

a little while ago I had a problem with my car starting the battery would not start the car if it hadnt been driven the day before (alternators working fine), then on a 360 mile roundtrip i managed to blow a hole in my downpipe it took me 3-4 weeks to fund replacing it but all the time i had a hole in the exhaust it started first time everytime no problems even after leaving it for 3 days, now 3 days after fixing the tank noise the battery wont start the car again, I have got a major headache from this! any suggestions welcome apart from killing it with fire as that is my main trail of thought at the moment haha

Cheers
Ross

check the volts th bat terminals put out dead and when the car's running. should read 12.4V at very least when dead and 14.1v when on. then try load test(turn everything possible on) V should still b around 14. if it drops to 13.5v, prob need a new alt.

if that shows well, leave the engine off for say an hour, check the current when dead. should be 0.03A. if, like mine, it rad 0.14A, go fuse by fuse and check which circuit the drain is on. from there, take it to a autoeletrician to nail that drain.

for me, its on th interior light, radio, boot and dash circuit but havent got around to finding th bastard. otherwise, disconnect neg terminal when u know ur not driving in th next day. it's only a temp measure but now that i drive everyday, not an issue : if in doubt, check ericthecarguy on youtube. he covers all of this

I had issues with my saxo not starting, kept having to jumpstart it. Would go for a few days being fine then have to jumpstart again!!
I just purchased a new battery and had it fitted, worked fine every since.
