Hi,
I recently had my front wheels swapped over after powdercoating. They were balanced and now when I go over 70 it vibrates the steering wheel. I took it back and they rechecked them and the issue was a bit better. However now it pulls to the left slightly and is harder to turn right than left, any ideas?

Harder to turn right than left?
stop wanking so much. :P
On a serious note.
Changed my mind, I agree it's probably poor wheel alignment.

I'm right handed so it can't be that, although the hairy palms might not help lol

Tracking and needs rebalancing. Tyres will progressively fall out of balance as they lose rubber, and powdercoating adds 5% to the weight.

5%? sounds precise :P

ballpark figure but the point is, at 70 mph even a small amount of weight is enough to send the wheel out of balance.

surely the weight of the new powder coat will be offset by the removal of the old coating? Assuming that the wheels were blasted back to metal prior to re-coating?

Technically yeah, but wheel weights would have been removed so it would probably have needed balancing anyway :homme:

So if I get it tracked then balanced it should be ok?

Make sure the steering rack is centralized and the steering arms are the same length, you can check by counting the threads on the steering arm bushes.
