I'm not sure if things are just in the news a lot more lately, or if stuff really is going to shit at the moment?
First of all there is NK; Which hopefully is slowly resolving itself.

Things always happen in Iraq though we just do not hear about it.
The newspapers would rather write about Kate Middleton having morning sickness etc.

Lol exactly.
Tens of millions of lives were lost in WW2 alone so really, the world is a pretty subdued place right now!
Recently, it's just a few big events that have all come at once by coincidence.

Governments and media make things out to be much worse than they are and cover up stuff that we really should know about.
Nothing is worse than it's ever been, it's just a different type of bad.

This... if media didnt blow everything out of proportion they would suffer from loss of profit.
Its a big business, to think that its so big that it actually controls the way people behave.
Good news is not as intersting as bad news, and we see a lot more bad than good because it makes money.

The media shapes the world, not what happens to be honest.
Nothing is that any worse than it has been, most places are better to be honest.
