im looking a set of tyres which have never been fitted and so are brand new but they have been in storage for a good while... i'll assume they've gone a bit hard on th outside they arent being made anymore (sport conti 2)
ive read up something about the effect of the hardened outter layer but i cant for mylife remember if it was detrimental or beneficial. can anyone shed some light on th issue for me?
cheers

What's the date mark? Tyres have dates.

Isn't it UV that kills them? and how old are they?
I wouldnt try again it if the tyres were like 20 years old, as I tried that game in the past with pirelli p600s and they were wank due to be old.
