Long story short, I hit an open drain at about 50 mph the other day.

End result was 2 damaged track rod ends which have since been replaced and the tracking has been done.

However, i noticed that one the front wheels knocks whilst going over bumps and there is a single knock from the front end of the car when pulling away from traffic lights etc.

Also noticed when doing between 60-70 there is quite a consistent knocking/thumping from underneath the footwell which is more apparent when turning left into a bend.

Any ideas?

you checked the wishbone isnt bent?
Ball joints can knock too if its messed one of those up. I'd check everything to be honest - all the aforementioned plus the struts/droplinks/arbs and engine/gearbox mounts if the drain caught the engine

I hit the drain with my nearside front wheel. I just assumed that the guy doing the drop links would have noticed any other damage.

I'll need to jack the car up and look for any visual damage when the weather is a little better, if not then take it somewhere.

Just did 200 miles in the car over the weekend and the knocking hasn't gotten any worse but i'll need to have it looked at before it does.
