What size is the bolt that connects as the bottom on the down pipe and fixes into the gearbox???

M8 IIRC with about 25mm of thread.

Not the top manifold bolts the big one attaching the bottom of the down pipe into the gearbox

to be honest I have run two mani's without now as I hd that janspeed mani and sports cat and with all the vibrations and wobbles of the car it broke the mount and split the pipe at that point.

Its not uncommon to see after market standard replacement cats snap at that point as the bolt stresses them.
I know that a lot of aftermarket mani's snap there too!

nice one ive found that when i put my 4-2-1 on it seemed about an inch shorter than my standard one and it didnt sit flush to the gear box like the oe one did consequenlt my center pipe is touching the body

i just failed emissions aswell :(

this belonged to ns9900 on here, couldn't tell you why exactly. Could well be mounts, they seemed fine though.

Mine isnt bolted either. The OE one was though.

Read its something to do with it being stainless. Not shur
