In all fairness were you speeding at 3 in the morning? Are you a highley trained police reponce driver and did your boss tell you to test your new cars "performance" ??

Dont think so ;)

Yeah good point they should of done it on a test track, but to be honest most police chases dont happen on silverstone, they happen on the real roads where he was testing the car...

The thing im thinking is would anyone complain if it was an ambulance speeding to save someones life?

AdamW

But there wasnt an accident ahead......sure they can do roleplay on a track....we pay enough taxes

That's a total joke, if you want to get familiar to a car you havn't driven, its best to test it out somewhere safe i.e on a track, not a public road!!

Yates
25th August 2006, 13:47
ive said why dont they get a test track if they want to do that with the cars

what if he had hit someone? or lost control of the car?

it really takes the piss

He looks like a cunt aswell!

CampDavid
25th August 2006, 14:31
he shouldn't be doing 91mph in a 30mph. As they say its 30 for a reason.

Cunts

VTaaRon
25th August 2006, 15:54

LittleDude101
25th August 2006, 15:59
I think he should have been sent to a track to practice skills and performance, but i track isnt like a motorway or normal road so i suppose he wouldnt have got the 'practice' he needs.

Sheriff John Bunnel is not happy

Ry_B
25th August 2006, 16:01
He wasn't even familiar with the car FFS, extremely dangerous, and no I;m not saying I never speed, I just do it in cars and roads I'm familiar with when the conditions suit.

he should of been fined or got a sentence,
it would be different if it was joe public,he'd be jailed, the british "justice" system is crap, imagine if he'd hit someone, hello, your not getting punished cause you were testing your car, shite!!!

kcsaxo
25th August 2006, 16:41
doesnt matter, when it comes down to it speeding should not be tolerated... there should be a time and a place to test high speed driving and this is on the track.

LittleDude101
25th August 2006, 16:52
its obvious he is being treated different because he is a police officer, which is ridiculous (sp) and will cause trouble in the future for the courts. If someone is cought speeding everyone will say that they were testing their car, if a policeman can get away with it... why cant i?

Yates
25th August 2006, 17:01
theres a few WRC drivers who are banned from driving in england as they were caught speeding driving inbetween stages, yet a copper goes 90mph over the speed limit and gets let off

I am not even going to read the story, my views still going to be this:

I dont give a fuck who he is or what he does, he should be fined and get points or even worse just like anybody else would. I speeded, I got points and fined... so should he

Emma_ZS
25th August 2006, 18:48

Whats the Govenment trying to say, that Police are above the people?

Please, give me a break what a load of crap.

Problem in this country is society and the whole runnings, go to other Economically Developed Countries and you dont get half the issues we have over here!

Basically there is no point in being suprised or pissed off with the copper, its just the same ol crap tbh.

Dan
25th August 2006, 22:08
Thats absolutely shocking! 159mph on public roads is stupid and for a police officer to do it doesnt make it ok.

Thats the justice system for you, inconsistant as fook.

He should have been testing it on a track, he should be banned for 2 years minimum.

Luke
25th August 2006, 22:10
It's all wrong, the whole justice system is fooked up.

Look at you Dan, you got a ban for what you did when you didn't put anyones life in danger but this guy did :S

Yates

The reason he was let off was because he is described as 'the cream' of that pig division in the country, they arent going to lose him so he gets off and loses his christmas bonus. Fucking cunts. Should be hung by the balls from the back of a car and driven down a track at 159 mph

s60tsy
26th August 2006, 01:46
i bet the cop who grassed him up is getting the most shit! if it was a cop, not looked into it proper

Leegriffiths
26th August 2006, 13:41
would there be any need for him to be going that quick if he was on call...... i think not! isnt that why they have helicopters. 130 maybe so. but 159mph in a car that you are getting to grips with on a motorway is dangerous. throw the book at him cause thats wat they would of done to us.
